JT Megill, Designer
My name is Jason Tyler, feel free to call me JT. I am an artist that has supressed my talents for far too long and have only recently begun to seriously tap into my abilities. I love experimenting and testing out new tools, skills, and styles.
My artistic education started in 2009 when I was encouraged by my then girlfriend, now wife, to apply my skills as an artist. Due to my full time work schedule, and New Jersey location I had difficulty finding an art school at first that really appealed to me. Then I rememberd a school I had looked into quite some time ago that had an online campus. Next thing I knew, I was accepted as a part-time student to the Art Institute of Pittsbugh Online Division.
Personally I’ll never rely on a class room to teach me everything I need to know. While attending school I also took traditional hand drawing classes at OCC over the summer. During my full time retail job during any breaks I got I would also study various illustration books and try to replicate the styles they had used. I still have a long way to go, as an artist I don’t think your ever done learning. I’m sure as hell gonna learn as much as I can though to become as well rounded as possible.
